Mission

At Discovery Medical Inc.,located in the greater Boston area, our mission is to promote positive communication and experiences, in the medical science field between the USA and China. We provide opportunities to US pre-medical, medical and nursing students to work with physicians in China integrating a hands-on shadow program. This gives students access to medical experience typically not available to those in the US during their early medical education program.

Discovery Medical Inc. is a subsidiary of Weiyang Commercial and Trading Co., Ltd (China) which was founded in 2007. Weiyang’s major business is to sell imported medical devices, consumable supplies and equipment. Weiyang mainly affiliated with the brands Medtronic, Teleflex, and Surgistar. The scope of products is related to general surgery, cardiac surgery, urology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, ultrasound, pathology and other key departments in the hospital. Weiyang has 36 employees located in Beijing, Tianjin and Shandong province. Weiyang has worked closely with the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the China Anti-Cancer Association, and the Chinese Medical Association. Weiyang attends national academic conferences of different disciplines and regional academic seminars every year. Because Weiyang has invited Chinese and foreign experts to participate in these conferences, the company has built close interpersonal connections and cooperative relationships with top-tier hospitals and doctors throughout China.
